What Our Clients Say
Fantastic work!
I didn't realize how terrible my antique chest on chest looked until Peter and his team worked their magic on it. Their craftsmanship is flawless. May the piece live for at least another 200 years!
I reached out to Peter for some information regarding a damaged chair, not only did he help me but went above and beyond to make sure I could repair the chair with ease. Would highly recommend using Olek!
Olek, Inc. restored and reupholstered a vintage Eames lounge and ottoman for my client with beautiful results. They have a deep knowledge of the various versions and constructions of the piece, and offer excellent communication about the process. We took advantage of their pickup and delivery service, and opted for a leather from their offerings that is true to the style of the original piece. I would highly recommend Olek for reupholstery services and wouldn't hesitate to work with them again.
My Park Avenue client needed a custom carved mantel mirror and additional repairs to his antique mantelpiece. Olek was able to provide the nicest, incredibly talented wood craftsman I have ever had the pleasure to work with. We watched Yuri do work on site and were simply enthralled with his professionalism and surprisingly quick work. I just want to find more work for him; it was so fun. Thank you to Mr.Triestman for organizing the work and keeping us on track.
This summer, Olek restored various pieces of antique Italian furniture for The Italian Academy at Columbia University. I could not have found another company capable of such care and talent at bringing these pieces back to life! Their team was extremely professional, and the company is great at coordinating delivery. I would highly recommend Olek to anyone looking to restore furniture!
Recently had a valuable storage piece refinished by Olek for an important client. They did an absolutely stunning job and returned the piece to its original glory. In conversation with them now to do another restoration job for the same client. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Commercial Restoration & Fabrication FAQs
How are commercial projects priced?
We price from the scope, not a rate card. Send drawings, specifications, photos and quantities with your bid date, and we review what the job needs: materials, field information, coordination and logistics. You receive a written proposal with scope, price and schedule. For large seating or door programs, a sample or mockup can be priced first.
Can you work to our bid dates and schedule?
Tell us the bid or proposal due date when you send the package, so the review can be planned around it. During the project, shop production, deliveries and site work can be phased after hours, on weekends or on holidays to keep an occupied building running. For anything urgent, call us directly.
Is the work done on site or in your shop?
Both. Removable furniture, door leaves, hardware and seating usually come to our 20,000 sq. ft. workshop in Orange, New Jersey, where wood, metal and upholstery trades work under one roof. Built-in millwork, fixed seating and doors that stay in place are restored on site, and many projects combine the two.
Do you work on landmark and government buildings?
Yes: courthouses, cathedrals, universities, transportation buildings and federal sites such as Fort Hamilton. Preservation work can follow the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards, and Olek is a HUBZone Certified Small Business. Bid, payment and performance bonding may be available for qualifying projects, and procurement teams can request our capabilities statement.
What warranty do you offer?
Select work is warranted for up to 50 years. Coverage depends on the scope and materials, so each proposal states which work is covered and for how long. If your specification sets its own warranty requirements, include them in the bid package and the proposal will address them directly.
Is there work you don’t take on?
Our commercial team covers furniture and architectural woodwork, fabrication in wood and metal, metal doors and seating. Stained glass, art conservation and Eames chairs go to our specialty team. On fire-rated or egress doors, your architect, code consultant and the authority having jurisdiction set the requirements; we restore to that approved basis.
How do we get started?
Send the drawing set, specifications, photos, dimensions, project location, your role and the bid or start date. Upload smaller files with the form below; for large drawing sets, include a Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive link. We confirm anything else we need and arrange a site visit when the scope calls for one.
