Custom Furniture • Architectural Woodwork • Residential Fabrication
Olek Inc. creates one-of-a-kind furniture, built-ins, cabinetry, architectural woodwork and decorative features for private homes. From a statement table or fitted bookcase to exact replication of historic millwork, Olek combines traditional hand skills, modern fabrication tools and in-house finishing to turn a specific idea into a piece that belongs in the architecture around it.
Unreal. Honestly I’m blown away by what they’re capable of. My piece is better than new.
They were able to recreate missing pieces from our mirror and restore the mirror to look even better than it ever did! Beautiful work! We were very pleased and very grateful for the attention to details
My Park Avenue client needed a custom carved mantel mirror and additional repairs to his antique mantelpiece. Olek was able to provide the nicest, incredibly talented wood craftsman I have ever had the pleasure to work with. We watched Yuri do work on site and were simply enthralled with his professionalism and surprisingly quick work. I just want to find more work for him; it was so fun. Thank you to Mr.Triestman for organizing the work and keeping us on track.
We sent Olek a boring, aging dining table and received back an object of art. We are ecstatic at having discovered the existence of such incomparable high-grade craftsmanship.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
I had two antique wooden chairs in need of repair. Thanks to Olek, they now look like new. The craftsmanship was first class. I cannot recommend them highly enough.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
They repaired/restored a late 1800s/early 1900s door from a cottage in Wildwood. The door had extensive damage with missing panels and cracked wood. When I tried to find people to do the work, most carpenters refused the job due to the amount of damage, but Olek was up for the job and did amazing work replacing the missing panels/wood and bringing the door back to life.
The interior woodwork of my modernist chrome chair was broken, and Olek was able to remove the chair's vintage fabric, reconstruct the interior wood frame, and replace the original fabric. The chair looks exactly like its identical mate--one would never know there had been a problem. A miracle, really! Thank you, Peter!
My beloved Poul Jensen Z couch suffered a tragic accident in which one her teak legs was shattered. As soon as I started my research for repair - which I didn't actually think was possible - Olek came up. Over and over in my research they came up. I called and spoke with David, who assured me they could repair it. I sent my photos to Peter, who sent me a quote straight away.I sent my leg to them from California, crossed my fingers and waited.Holy cats! You seriously cannot tell a repair was made. It's magic I tell you. The person who did the actual work is an artisan named Yuri. Thank you Yuri, it's beautiful and perfect. Thanks to David and Peter as well for their professionalism, quick turn around and for listening to me sob out my story.

Olek fabricates one-of-a-kind tables, consoles, desks, cabinets and furniture designed around a specific room or brief. Proportion, joinery, edge details, hardware, finish and material transitions can all be developed as part of the piece rather than selected from a catalog.
02
Fitted shelving, libraries, display cabinetry, storage and custom casework are fabricated to the architecture and use of the room. Olek can work from designer or architect drawings, develop fabrication details, or help resolve a concept from dimensions and reference material.
03
Wall paneling, wainscot, mantels, trims, decorative moldings and related architectural woodwork can be fabricated for new interiors or matched to an existing home. Traditional joinery, hand carving, marquetry and decorative finishing are available where the design requires them.
04
Newels, balusters, rails, decorative stair components and custom architectural details can be newly designed or reproduced from an original element. Wood and metal disciplines can be coordinated when the design requires both.
05
Carved wood, fabricated metal, fiberglass and mixed-media elements can be produced for sculptural accents, decorative installations and unusual residential features. Olek’s cross-disciplinary shop is particularly useful when the finished object does not fit neatly into one trade.
06
Olek can reproduce existing furniture, missing components, moldings and architectural woodwork when the new work must visually continue the old. Species, veneer, profiles, joinery, carving, surface texture and finish can all be considered in the match.

Multi-Trade Fabrication
Olek fabricates custom furniture, built-in shelving and bookcases, cabinetry, architectural paneling and moldings, mantels, stair components, balustrades, sculptural features and other one-of-a-kind residential elements. Projects can be entirely new designs or faithful reproductions of existing work.
Yes. A project can begin from photographs, sketches, dimensions, designer or architect drawings, or an existing object that needs to be replicated. Olek can develop shop or fabrication drawings and material/finish samples as needed before production. For exact replication, the original piece or profile becomes the reference standard rather than a generic approximation.
Yes. Olek can study original dimensions, profiles, species, veneers, joinery, carvings, surface character and finishes to reproduce furniture, missing parts, moldings or architectural elements where a close visual match is required.
Yes. Olek works directly with homeowners and also collaborates with interior designers, architects and builders. The level of design development can be adjusted to the project, from executing a completed drawing set to helping resolve a concept into buildable shop details.
Yes. Material and finish selections can be coordinated around the design, use and desired appearance. Options may include hardwoods, veneers, marquetry, metals, fiberglass and finish systems such as oil, lacquer, wax, decorative finishes and custom coatings. Finish development is treated as part of the design, not a final afterthought: oil, lacquer, wax and custom coatings can be sampled and adjusted to the material, sheen, color and use of the piece.
Olek performs its core fabrication and finishing work through its in-house team and shop capabilities, including woodworking, architectural millwork, carving, metal fabrication and finishing. Specialized project requirements are coordinated as part of the approved scope when needed.
A custom residential piece often needs more than a cabinet shop or furniture maker working alone. Dimensions, proportions, clearances and sightlines are resolved around the actual room, not a standard product size, and cabinetmaking, carving, marquetry, metalwork, sculpting and decorative finishing are coordinated in one shop when a project crosses traditional trade boundaries — with repairs routed to Olek’s residential restoration services and upholstery to residential reupholstery.
Send photos of the room or existing piece, inspiration images, approximate dimensions, project location, drawings if available, material or finish preferences and your target schedule. For replication, clear detail photos and access to the original piece or profile are especially helpful.
