The shock mounts on our 50 year old Eames lounge chair failed. In addition to repairing them, we had the leather upholstery treated, the wood refinished and the metal buffed. Outstanding! I had a 1970s leather barrel chair repaired -- new cushioning for the seat and part of the leather replaced. The seat feels totally comfortable and the leather is a perfect match. My mother owns an antique black lacquered coffee table with three porcelain medallions. The table had seen better days with the lacquer flaking off, joints becoming unstable and overall this beautiful piece looked rough. I brought the table to Olek’s furniture restoration shop and they detailed all of work required and the inlays and colors used. I have a V. Kagan 175 E armchair that was literally falling apart- the wood was separating at the joins and the leather seat and padding were shot- Peter at Olek did and amazing job bringing it back to "like new." OLEK is the BEST. They refinished two dressers, four tables, two cabinets, old barrister bookcase, two chairs, and bench. The bench was re-upholstered and everything was done perfectly. Had Olek restore an Asian cabinet that had been in my wife’s family for years. The reviews on this company don’t do them justice. They took the cabinet that looked absolutely terrible and restored it to like new. They definitely know what they are doing ans it was worth every penny. My genuine Herman Miller rosewood Eames chair and ottoman dating from 1979 was in need of reupholstering. I also had 3 cushions from my Corbusier LC2 sofa that were worn. We had an original DCW Eames chair with the back fallen off due to deterioration of the mounts. Also it had been carelessly repainted to cover up who knows what, back in the day. When the shock mount on one side of our Eames Chair gave out and cracked the wood on the "ear" of the chair, we were very distraught. They repaired/restored a late 1800s/early 1900s door from a cottage in Wildwood. The door had extensive damage with missing panels and cracked wood. When I tried to find people to do the work, most carpenters refused the job due to the amount of damage, but Olek was up for the job and did amazing work replacing the missing panels/wood and bringing the door back to life.

The interior woodwork of my modernist chrome chair was broken, and Olek was able to remove the chair's vintage fabric, reconstruct the interior wood frame, and replace the original fabric. Their craftsmen worked on restoring the faux wood finish on the interior of my antique automobile. The result was outstanding! I highly recommend Olek.

My father gave me his Eames chair with ottoman many years ago. When I brought it to my home and went to sit in it, the rubber attachments that hold the chair back to the chair base were so old and dried out that I fell backward through the chair. I looked for a good company that could repair it and call Olek. The people at this company are so,… so nice. They really take the time to look at your piece and tell you exactly what has to be done. Olek told me that it needed a few things. The newer better rubber mounts, some wood repair from age and use (that was apparent) and I wanted it recovered from the black vinyl that dad had it recovered in decades ago to an appropriate black leather. It cost me about $3,800.00, but it's not worth about $14,000 based on two things. It looks new and it's a first series, low serial number edition which the metal decals on the bottom of the chair say it is. Thank you Olek and your team for doing such a wonderful job. As soon as I started my research for repair - which I didn't actually think was possible - Olek came up. Over and over in my research they came up. I called and spoke with David, who assured me they could repair it. I delivered a 1952 Bovirke danish settee in need of a complete renovation. The teak and oak frame was structurally unsound, chipped and split, and original upholstery with horse hair construction in much need of replacement and refurbishment. Olek did an amazing job overhauling the wood frame with delicate care and replacing the upholstery, all while keeping the piece's original shape and patina. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic service! My 40 year old Eames chair was looking sad and neglected. Olek reupholstered the arm rests where elbow pressure had caused rips and holes. My original Eames dining chair from 1950 was in bad need of repair. A DYI job of reattaching and refinishing in the 80s held for some time until the back recently broke. When I graduated from law school (more than 4 decades ago) my parents gave me a magnificent gift, an eames chair. A beautiful and iconic piece of furniture, I was always reticent to use it on a routine basis, thinking that I would keep it pristine until I retired and spent more time sitting in it while reading, listening to music and the like. Two years ago, my parents died… a month apart, and the chair took on more meaning for me as emblematic of who they were and everything they had done to make my life successful. I began to use it more regularly and, due to the degradation of one of the connectors by operation of time, the back literally broke apart. The sentimental connection that I had to it was surprising even to me, but I was sure that it would never look like anything other than an old, broken piece of furniture, even assuming that it could be repaired to be usable. I was wrong. I received it back from Olek last week and I cannot see the repair even though I know exactly where the break was. Whoever worked on the chair is more an artist than a technician. Their communication was clear, they delivered even a little ahead of time, and the work is fantastic. Great experience with Olek. My Eames chair broke after 40 years, a very distressing event. FInding Olek on the web told me that this was in fact a frequent occurence and they would be able to fix it. Since I live in VA, I had to schedule a trip to NJ to deliver them the chair, which involved coordination as to timing of the dropoff and a plan to deliver… the finished chair to my son's house.. All this worked out well with the delivery occuring only a week or so after I dropped off the chair at their plant.I'm really satisfied with this experience and look forward to many more years in my favorite chair. This summer, Olek restored various pieces of antique Italian furniture for The Italian Academy at Columbia University. I could not have found another company capable of such care and talent at bringing these pieces back to life! Their team was extremely professional, and the company is great at coordinating delivery. My wife and were thrilled with the reupholstery and restoration of our Pierre Paulin Mushroom chair and ottoman, and Olivier Mourgue Djinn chaise lounge.
